There is no doubt that there is a serious problem in manning the
American military. .. "The next existential threat we have... is the
inability to man our military." / Recruiting problems historically are
most acute in the Army .. The Army had a quantity and a quality failure,
despite offering unprecedented enlistment "bonuses" that are
disproportionately attractive to the lower socio-economic classes. The
other services are experiencing problems in specific functional areas ..

Over the past 18 years of "endless war," the Pentagon has adopted
numerous measures to prop up the AVF. .. Lowered enlistment standards;
and the use of prescription psychotropic drugs ..

A fair, efficient, sustainable, legal and proven alternative to fix the
military recruiting problem is readily available: conscription using a
lottery based system with no exemptions and no deferments. ..

...

This "lottery based system" would be a great source of corruption.

.. The U.S. treated the space race as a literal sporting event, and NASA as
a championship team that would only have to win one big game. It trained for
years and spent billions of dollars .. But just 3 years after they nabbed
what they thought of as the gold medal, the country's leaders mothballed the
Apollo project for good. .. And what else did we lose when we lost Apollo?
You know the rest of our long national space story: five decades of orbital-
only boondoggles. A Shuttle program that failed catastrophically, twice,
before it was defunded. NASA hasn't been able to send its own astronauts to
the International Space Station since 2011, and it's likely to keep relying
on the Russians to transport them until at least 2020.
The former championship athlete is flabby, though it's trying ..

If the USA is unable to beat China using conversional weapons then what
will it do?
Vietnam was an unimportant bit of jungle so it could be abandoned. South
Korea, Japan and Taiwan are important so a higher level of effort will
be required. Russia should be worried.

Parking patterns and roof temperatures have been spoofed to conceal
activity from aerial photography at least as far back as WW2. The
Soviets had a rocket factory disguised as an apartment complex. The
parking lot was emptied by day and filled at night.

That may be because you are searching for the wrong word. "maskirovanniy" is the passive past participle of the verb "maskirovat" (to mask or to disguise) - in other words it turned the verb into an adjective. It has many non-military meanings and you will probably end up with lots of pictures of animals that blend in with their surroundings.

What you are probably looking for is "maskirovka" - the noun, which also has non-military applications but in the military sense means camouflage or disguise. That should bring you to sites like this:

If the sub is in a shed we may not be able to tell what the shipyard
is building but by looking at the car parks and lorries arriving for
several days we can tell if the yard is working.
Parking patterns and roof temperatures have been spoofed to conceal
activity from aerial photography at least as far back as WW2. The
Soviets had a rocket factory disguised as an apartment complex. The
parking lot was emptied by day and filled at night.
Google doesn't return anything useful on "maskirovanniy", the Russian

'Maskirovka' is a cult about the Russians within your zombie herd.

The term and concept does not mean anything cultist in Russian.

Russia is reportedly set to receive six new submarines in 2020 ..
When I see some pix or videos of them under construction, then
MAYBE I'll believe it...
Submarines are big enough to be seen on civilian satellite pictures.
Any pictures of the ship yards available?
Most ship yards have large sheds to build their vessels in

Why would we use a Russian term when we have a number of perfectly
acceptable English terms that far better describe the situation ??????

Seems I remember an embarrassing incident back in the 1960s in which a
previously unknown Soviet sub suddenly appeared at a dock in a satellite
photo. While U.S. analysts were wondering where the hell this sub came from,
a storm passed over the base and when the weather cleared, this ersatz "sub"
was bent in half. For years people joked about the "rubber submarine,"
though I can't seem to find anything about it on the Web today...

Overweight threatens to become a problem in Russia too, although so
far it's far from the situation in the US and UK (which kids are now
even more obese than the American ones <http://bit.ly/2LjF5ol>).

The Russians still eat more healthy foods against the chemical shit
you were accustomed to eat in the US. It happens because your foods
regulations are hijaked by corporate mafias so that producers aren't
limited <http://bit.ly/2k0Me4a> in their lust to use you as guinea
pigs, which makes you fat zombies. In Russia, even the McDonald's
junk foods taste differently <http://bit.ly/2lF41yx> - because they
have to comply with the local food regulations.

America Loses Asia-Pacific As Full Spectrum Dominance Continues To Fail

.. In response to America's vast array of military infrastructure built up
on China's border, China has responded by the unveiling of cutting edge
anti-ballistic missile technologies, including hypersonic weaponry to
counteract the American threat. A large part of China's defensive response
includes the Russian S400 anti-missile system which is also being adopted
by India, Turkey, Syria and the United Arab Emirates as a unified system
which renders the American THAAD and ABM systems impotent and obsolete.
Although unconfirmed, American generals have freaked out that China is
building a joint China-Cambodia naval base in Preah Sihanouk Province that
gives China easy access to coastal waters on the Gulf of Thailand and
ready access to the South China Sea.

America's military impotence when faced with the new cutting edge
technologies unveiled by Russia and China was outlined in a recent report
released by the US Studies Center at the University of Sydney ..

Those American military officials promoting the obsolete doctrine of Full
Spectrum dominance are dancing to the tune of a song that stopped playing

.. The US fleet has not been in a war since 1945, the air forces since
1975. nor the Army in a hard fight since Vietnam. Bombing defenseless
peasants, the chief function of the American military, is not war. ..

The United States cannot fight a large land war, as for example against
Russia, China, or Iran. Such a war would require conscription. The
public would not stand for it. America no longer enjoys the sort of
patriotic unity that it did at the beginning of the war against
Vietnam. It will not accept heavy casualties. .. Any attempt to send
Snowflakes and other delicates to fight would result in widespread
civil disobedience. ..

The existing fleet has never been under fire and does not think it ever
will be. Most of its ships are thin-skinned, unarmored. One hit by an
antiship missile would remove them from the war. This is as true of the
Tico-class Aegis ships as of the newer Arleigh Burkes. / An aircraft
carrier is a bladder of jet fuel wrapped around high explosives. The
implications are considerable. A plunging hypersonic terminally-guided
ballistic missile, piercing the flight deck and exploding in the hangar
deck, would require a year in the repair yards. The Russians and Chinese
are developing-have developed-missiles specifically to take out
carriers. Note that the range of some of these missiles is much greater
than the combat radius of the carrier's aviation. ..

.. The US military has not been able to defeat Afghan villagers in
eighteen years with an immense advantage in air power, gunships, armor,
artillery, medical care, and PXs. What do you think would happen if
they had to fight the Taliban on equal terms-sandals, rifles, RPGs, and
not much else? ..

But now we have the F-35, the latest do-everything fighter of grotesque
cost. It seems to be a real dog, poorly designed and suffering from
endless problems. By accounts in the technical press, it is a hangar
queen with very low sortie rates, poor readiness, and requiring complex
electronic maintenance often at remote echelons. ..

Russia's floating nuclear power station has reached Pevek Harbour

On September 22, Russia's defense minister Shoygu said in an interview
that compared with the United States, Russia does not need an aircraft
carrier, and only needs weapons to sink aircraft carriers. Such weapons
are not only low in cost but also efficient. Coincidentally, just two
days ago, the Russian nuclear submarine Omsk successfully launched P700
"Granit" anti-ship missile in the Pacific Ocean and accurately hit a
maritime target 350 kilometers away. So is "Granit" anti-ship missile
shot by Russia the weapon that the Russian defense minister can imply
to attack the US military aircraft carrier?

There are quite a lot of the Russian supersonic counterattack missiles
since the Cold War to the present, and "Granit" tested this time is the
weapon with the farthest flight speed and the strongest damage.

This weapon has a long range, up to 650 kilometers. It is believed that
550 km is the defensive outer ring of the US aircraft carriers, and so
"Granit" missile just meets the needs for attacking an aircraft carrier
formation. The missile can also be equipped with a 500000 TNT equivalent
nuclear warhead.

In addition, the Russian missiles can ventilate each other. During the
flight, the lead missiles fly very high, mainly for receiving the basic
info about an enemy aircraft carrier formation captured by satellites.
Then through calculation they can assign tasks to lower missiles. For
example, one missile is hitting a boat and five missiles are to fight a
large ship, so that an attack on the whole aircraft carrier formation
can be efficiently implemented.

This missile also has a code name "Shipwreck", which means that once a
ship is hit by it, it will be very miserable. Once it's hit by "Granit"
missile, nothing can be thought of. You don't have to save anything,
because there is no longer any living person, basically within the scope
of this missile attack people will be eliminated, and the second thing
is that there's nothing to repair, because there is no way to repair
anything after the ship is hit by "Granit" anti-ship missile. The third
thing is that there's no need to drag it because the hit ship will sink
anyway. ..

Let Russians die in the crazy muslim lands running after each lot of
crazies as they rise up, wage war on the other crazies and disappear

.. "What Washington does now - the capture and holding under its armed
control of oil fields in Eastern Syria is, simply speaking, an
international state banditism," ..

Citing intelligence obtained via Russian Defence Ministry surveillance
satellites, both before and after the Daesh defeat north of the Euphrates,
Syrian oil was being actively extracted and smuggled to other countries,
while being guarded by US soldiers. / The oil was smuggled in tanker
truck convoys, guarded both by US servicemen and the mercenaries of
private military contractors (PMCs) .. The smuggling revenue went through
intermediary companies to US intelligence agency and PMC bank accounts ..

The Americans originally designed ISIS as a tool for use against Syria
and for other manipulations in the area, in particular, for justification
of the presense of their troops there. Trump's claims about the way the
US 'defeated' it sound pretty comic, but here <http://bit.ly/2O9DWFD> one
can read more realistic story. Since ISIS was an American creation from
the beginning, it's reasonable to suggest the Americans maintained many
embedded agents within ISIS to keep it in check. The fact they decided to
kill - if really - the ISIS leader today likely means that Trump demanded
some "good PR action" after the known recent developmens in Syria.

The fact of stealing of the Syria's oil by the American operatives still
adds more comic elements to the increasingly 'banana republic' US image.
Similarly, the US command in Afghanistan take their share from the opium
trafficing. So they would desperately invent various plausible pretexts to
stay in the area.

But America as a whole is in steady decline. The corruption within the US
military command and CIA etc accelerates this process. And the more US
troops are in the Middle East the worse your domestic situation would be.
