The only rapper I listen to is T-Swizzle.
She's talented enough to have written a fine new song for a hit Broadway
"Swift might be Cats creator and famed Broadway composer Andrew Lloyd Webber’s
ideal lyricist. "
"In other words, post-Rice, ALW has always been hampered by his own
self-indulgence and the lack of a lyricist as good at writing lyrics as ALW
is at writing music."
"That’s why a Taylor Swift-ALW collaboration is genuinely exciting. In the
annals of ALW collaborators, Swift may be the first lyricist with the range,
experience, and stature to stand alongside [Tim] Rice."
"Cats" is a good movie after you get over the initial shock of seeing the
dancers as swarming human-faced spiders and snakes instead of cats, among
other CGI misjudgments. It deserves its hilarious bad reviews, but the
quality of the performance shines through on repeated DVD viewing. Don't
expect much plot, the show is just an excuse for very fit bodies to sing and
dance in slinky cat suits.
