DC 3-194F 2110 PH-ASR Roek D-ABBF, VE+RR In service March 1939, taken
over by the germans in May 1940. In Lufthansa service from 16/9 1940.
Crashed in Madrid during landing 9/12 1942.

Admitted DC-3s in German Service:

1 Belgian
5 Dutch
4 Czech

= 10 mostly used by Lufthansa except PC+EA which KG-200 used.

A further 3 DC-3s are said to have been maintained by the Luftwaffe on
the Spanish island of Mallorca in secret during the war. Facist Spain
aided Germany with ports for U-boats, secret airbases, and an escape
destination for fleeing high-ranking Nazis.

Germany also possed 10 DC-2s again mostly operated by Lufthansa but at
least 2 available to KG-200.

IIRC, wasn't the very first Arab a/c shot down by the Israeli
Messerschmitts a DC-3 in their Independence War?
